Cup of Water

This is dedicated to a friend that really pushed me to post since it's been a while. Here goes:

I watched a video some time ago
A video of a lecturer asking his students
How much does a cup of water weigh when you hold it?
And the students gave answers
Various measurements
The lecturer told them that they were all wrong

He made them realize that
A cup of water doesn’t have much weight when you hold it
The weight increases simultaneously at the time goes

Jer 1:14

How weird is it that sometimes you read the Bible
And it tells you the exact truth about what is happening
I was talking with someone
And she said
The Bible is too accurate
And I asked her why she said so
She said the main problems of every country
Always starts from the northern region

I laughed but then I thought about it
And it’s true
Most issues Nigeria has has come from the North
From the Chibok girls to the bombings and what not
All / most are from the north
And then she went further saying
Even the Bible said it

I laughed again and told her that she had started again
She asked me if I thought she was lying
And I blatantly told her yes
Then she thought a Bible and opened Jer 1:14
And behold
The Bible actually said it
Even when you read the whole context
It still has the same meaning
We laughed and forgot about it

And I realized one day
While listening to a message in church
Which stated that the truth is everlasting
There is no old or new generation truth

There is just a simple truth.

Slow Dance: A Touching Poem by a Teenager with Cancer

I read a poem a friend of mine sent to a group and I was very touched at how this lovely soul would soon be leaving this world.

This is a poem written by a teenager with cancer in a New York Hospital. She wants to see how many people get her poem. It is quite a poem, please pass it on. It was sent by a medical doctor.

Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
