Be Contented

Found some articles while scrolling through a site and I realised that many people are not content with what they have and it has become a serious disease in a lot of the people today and many people don't know it.

Ade met his friend Kola, 2 years after school and he was driving a sleek Mercedes Benz. He went home weeping and feeling awful for himself. Ade didn't know that Kola has never owned a car and got a job as a driver in a small company somewhere and on that faithful day, he was sent on an errand with the biggest car in the company when his friend Ade saw him.

Seyi nagged her husband always for not being romantic by not getting down to open the car door for her as Ngozi's husband did when he dropped her at work. Seyi didn't know that Ngozi's husband's car was faulty and the door could only be opened from outside.

Life does not have a universal measuring tool, so create yours and use it. Looking at people and comparing yourself with them will never make you happy, you'd continue to have pains of what's not even real and making you regret how you are living your life when you should try your possible best to be contented with what you have and not envy the things you see.

Be contented with what you have and in everything, give thanks!

500 Naira Note

Two important management lessons I learnt from a 500 Naira note.

1. It happened some time ago but . I was in an audience listening to a motivational speaker. The speaker got out his wallet & pulled out a 500 Naira note. Holding it up, he asked, "Who wants this 500 naira note?"

Lots of hands went up. Including mine. A slow chorus began to build as people began to shout "Me!" "Me!" I began to wonder who the lucky one would be who the speaker would choose. And I also secretly wondered (and I am sure others did too ) why he would simply give away 500 Naira. Even as the shouts of "I want it" grew louder, I noticed a young woman running down the aisle. She ran up onto the stage, went up to the speaker, and grabbed the five 500 naira note from his hand. "Well done, young lady," said the speaker into the microphone. The speaker simply say "Most of us just sit and wait for good things to happen. That's of no use. You've got to make things happen. Make a move" 'Simply thinking about doing something is of no use and not gud enough'. Our lives are like that. We all see opportunities around us. We all want the good things. But the problem is we don't take action. We all want the 500 naira notes on offer. But we don't make the move. We look at it longingly. Get up, and do something about it. Don't worry about what other people might think.

Take action.

2. later, the speaker got another 500 naira note and held it up for all to see, I thought I knew what's up. But he just asked a simple question. "How much is this worth?" "Five Hundred naira!" the crowd yelled in unison. "Right," said the speaker. He then took the note and crumpled it into a ball and asked "How much is it worth now?" "Five Hundred naira!" screamed the audience. He then threw the note on the ground, stamped all over it and picked up the note and asked one more time: "And how much is it worth now?" "Five Hundred naira!" was the response. "I want you to remember this," said the speaker. "Just because someone crumples it, or stamps on it, the value of the note does not diminish. We should all be like the 500 naira note. In our lives, there will be times when we feel crushed, stamped over, beaten. But never let your self-worth diminish. Just because someone chooses to crush you, that doesn't change your worth one bit!
Don't allow your self-worth to diminish because someone says something nasty or does something dirty to you."
Never let your self-worth diminish

Fight for your belief

I realized that we most times don't fight for what we believe in and that's not the way it's supposed to be. I believe that if people fought for the right thing which is their right, like Martin Luther King Jr. did some years back, we would get what we are meant to. Fighting against this gay right is the right thing to do. This is because the Bible goes against any kind of relations that isn't between two certified people.

The Bible said, we shouldn't have sexual relations with animals, same sex but the world we live in today don't respect it. Everything they do is just all about what they feel is good and how everybody has a right to do what they want which is the thought of the wicked one and not the thought of Christ. When I say fight, I don't mean violent fight, I mean nonviolent fight.

I really believe that if every other person disagrees with this gay right then, we are surely going somewhere with this. I'm not happy that I don't feel safe whenever I'm in a room with certain females I don't know because I can't tell who is what. We need to find a way to stop all these. I speak with God in my heart and not from my head.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

In everything you do, thank God. Thanksgiving is a very very good way to reach out to God. Anytime we give thanks, our healing and understandings are perfected which is what everybody desires no matter what they try to cover it up with. God never gets tired of listening to your thanks.
God has a way of blessing us. He never blesses two people in the same way.  He works in the most wondrous ways.

Think of it, whenever your mum or dad or even your friend gives you something, he/she expects you to say thank you. When thank you is said, they are always joyful because it shows how much you appreciate whatever they have given you. That is the same way God is joyful when you say thank you to him.
In everything you do, give thanks,  I didn't quote that, the Bible said it all. Thanksgiving is application and supplication for more.

In all, let us thank God for a new year and also a new month. He gave us the opportunity to see this year.

CHRISTMAS TIDINGS

Christmas
A time to share
A time to give
A time receive
A time to think on everything
This is a period
Where people look back
And thank God for all He has done
On this day
Christ was born
He came into this world
As a Saviour
He came and brought joy to the world
On this day
There are smiles on people's faces
Many questions are asked
Many are answered
Some are not answerable
But let us not forget that
Jesus is the reason for the season
Give and be Blessed
Merry Christmas!!!!!!!

YOUR THOUGHTS MATTER

In this life, I've come to realize that most people are not what they think they are. There are always categories that people fall into. In high school/sec school, in university/college. Many people live fake lives all because they are trying to please every other person but themselves which is not the way it is meant to be. I have a strong feeling that no matter how perfect people's lives seem, they always have something that they can't obviously show to the outside world.

For example, there's a movie called The D.U.F.F. which stands for Designated Ugly Fat Friend. In the movie, a girl never knew that she was the DUFF among her friends. But her best friend, which was her childhood friend made her to see through it and then helped her to get over it but in the end, they fell in love and they both realized that its not always about what people think but most times its about what you think of yourself that matters.

I complain when people exhibit self love but deep inside I know that its one of the best things that you can do for yourself. Never let anybody make you feel ugly or stupid, God didn't make you that way. He made you in His own image.

Love your self but don't forget to also love your neighbor as you love yourself.

GOD’S WORD FOR YOU

John 3:16 "for God so loved the world that he gave His ONLY begotten son..."

Alright...God so loved you that He sacrificed His beloved for you and yet you are not grateful. What are you giving to Him? Is it just about asking and receiving from Him? Do you actually think He is obliged to bless you? Or you feel you are where you are just because of your hard-work? Oh you feel like you can do all you want to do by your strength, power or connection right? All of a sudden giving your tithe and offering is a big work load for you...Just every time you give the excuse of "but I am not working?" or "If I remove my tithe from my salary, how much would I be left with?” You even find it hard to create a spare time for God! Praying and studying your bible is now a “waste of time” and even when the Holy Spirit reminds you, you procrastinate. Remember the times when worshiping God and praising Him was a daily routine for you, and now; that zeal is gone. Your desires to know God and to make Him known, your intercession for lost souls has suddenly ceased. You need to retrace your steps immediately.

God has always been faithful and merciful to you. His love and grace has been your banner for years and the amazing part is that He hasn't changed, so why should you? Go back to God, make Him your first priority. Let Him be the first on your “Scale of Preference”…Open your heart to Jesus and let Him in, don’t keep Him waiting. He still loves you and always will, all He needs is your attention and time. Don’t stop praising Him and tell Him how much you love Him because he deserves it all. Say yes to Jesus now, do not procrastinate and let Him be at the center of your life. Give your tithes and offering-It brings forth supernatural breakthrough, favor, blessing and exceeding grace. Use your God-given talents to God’s glory. Bless a soul with care and affection, just as God has shown to you.

GOD LOVES YOU, SHARE THAT LOVE TO SOMEONE ELSE….HAPPY SUNDAY

Choice(s)

In this life, everything we do relates to choices. From the beginning of the time God has blessed us with freewill. For example, we have Adam and Eve that God placed in the Garden of Eden and told them not to eat from a particular tree and they both had the choice of either eating from the tree and disobeying God’s order or not eating from the tree and obeying God, but they didn’t. It was a choice that they both made.

Another Example is in Lev 18, the whole chapter is talking about how humans are not supposed to be having sexual relations amongst your close relations, with animals and the same sex amongst other things. Now, the Bible has given you the law and it’s your turn to do obey or disobey the words of the Bible. Either doing what’s right or wrong.

In our everyday lives, we have the right to choose or rather make choices. We have the opportunity to make the right choices now that we’re alive. No matter what you do, know that your choice determines where you end up tomorrow or what you’ll turn out to be in the future. Also, in every good choice we make, God is backing us up. Even when we make the wrong choices, God is there to forgive us.

“Your choice can make or break you”.

Music

Just hearing the word, lights up my world. It is one thing that has proven to be inspiring and very enjoyable. Sometimes, people release songs that some people would call music but I call it noise. Well, genres like classical music, r n’ b, and some other interesting genres of music. Personally, I love all genres of music but rap is my game. I don’t freestyle but I can rap to different songs of Lecrae, Mateo Vic and many more. Music, music, music. There was this story I read about in an American newspaper, it was about a kid that had already been certified dead and about three hours after he died, his mum decided to play his best song which was Adele’s Don’t You Remember. The second minute into the song, the child began to move his hands trying to send a signal of him being alive. This just helps me define how beautiful music is.
